How we can help

Legal advice becomes useful when it leads to a decision: what can be done, what can be proved, which step is worth taking and when the cost or risk outweighs the benefit. The office follows matters from the first assessment through litigation or an out-of-court solution.

Court representation in Romania

Litigation and court representation

Litigation is a substantial part of our work. We represent companies and private clients in civil and commercial disputes before Romanian courts at all levels.

This includes claims and defence, appeals, constitutional issues and, where the legal requirements are met, proceedings before the European Court of Human Rights. The focus is not only on legal doctrine, but also on evidence, procedural strategy and the result that can realistically be pursued.

Legal advice in Romania

Advice and out-of-court representation

Not every legal problem should become a lawsuit. We advise on contracts, real-estate transactions, corporate matters, investments and dealings with authorities, business partners and counterparties.

Our experience in German–Romanian matters is particularly valuable where legal rules, administrative practice and commercial expectations need to be brought together.

German-Romanian legal advice

German, Romanian and English

German and Romanian are used daily in the office, while English is an additional working language. Matters can therefore be handled directly without a linguistic intermediary and without losing legal nuance.

German–Romanian translations needed in the course of a matter can often be prepared within the office itself – especially useful where precise wording has legal consequences.

Between two languages – and often between two different expectations.

For a client from a German-speaking country, an investment, contract or dispute in Romania frequently involves more than language. Procedure, administrative practice and contractual culture may work differently. Our role is to make those differences understandable and turn them into a coherent legal strategy.

THE LAW OFFICE

In Bucharest since 2002

The law office was established pursuant to Decision no. 273/2002 of the Bucharest Bar. In its early years, the practice focused particularly on assisting international companies entering the Romanian market and making investments, including real-estate development, trade and financing; renewable-energy projects were added later.

Today the practice combines business-law advice with civil litigation, real-estate and contract law, and the representation of entrepreneurs and private clients. Since 2013, the office has been located at 2 Nicolae N. Beldiceanu Street in Bucharest.

Personal handling, direct communication and continuity from the first conversation to the conclusion of the matter.
